The former home of painter Joan Ponç, Dalí’s friend and artistic contemporary, transformed by Ponç’s grandson into a 12-room hotel. With a coffee shop, natural wine bar and a busy summer events agenda (think pop-up supper clubs, DJ sets and weekly yoga classes), it’s the place to be.  

A total treasure trove of hand painted Spanish pottery whether you’re after a giant plant pot dipped in green glaze, a splatterware dinner set or some charming small bowls painted with fish motifs. The prices are very reasonable and it's located just as you enter the town of Cadaqués. 

From the fisherman's tavern to family run and fondly remembered. The culinary experience at Els Pescadors is focused on feeling friendly around the table and by the sea. 

This wine bar puts a new meaning on local by exclusively serving wine grown at the owner Martín Faixó’s vineyard in Cap de Creus which is walking-distance away. Pick between white, red or rose and enjoy with the equally local tapas plates including grilled sardines and fresh ceviche. 

You’ll spot the snaking queue before you see the ice cream at this ever-popular spot in the Cadaqués harbour. This family-run organic and natural gelateria has the best artisan ice cream in town with classic options and creative flavours.  

On a narrow lane in Cadaqués old town, Lua bucks tradition with its yellow shutters and the menu also takes a non-classic route with flavours that span Asia, the Middle East and the Mediterranean. The menu is always changing but if the gazpacho is there, don’t hesitate to order it.  

Masterminded by Carole Bénazet and Frédéric Lagarrigue, of Département Féminin in Toulouse, this harbourfront shop is stocked with high-end womenswear and menswear for summer days with a mix of major luxury designers such as Loewe and Jacquemus and smaller, independent brands like La Veste and Flabelus.  

This sliver of pebbly beach on the far western side of Cadaqués harbour is a reliably calm cove for a swim. With lovely views looking back on the town, you can easily pitch up for a morning or afternoon here with a blanket – just pack an umbrella for shade. 

A Cadaqués institution since 1978, this Lebanese restaurant in the back of the old town was a past haunt of Dalí himself and the artist even designed the logo. Still run by the same family all these years later, it's a trip back in time visiting this restaurant in a former 16th century oil mill that’s filled to the brim with antiques and has a lovely flower-stuffed courtyard.

Riffing on the idea of an Izakaya, the Japanese take on a small plates bar, Narita takes a different spin on the abundance of fresh fish and seafood available in this charming Costa Brava fishing town. The small but always-changing menu loves to surprise (in a good way) and the friendly team is on hand to guide you through the extensive list of natural wines.  

This traditional townhouse turned stylish restaurant with rooms has a prime position on the far end of Cadaqués’ harbour. Come sundown, its terrace a few steps back from the sea has a buzzy atmosphere for an aperitivo or stay all evening and enjoy the simple yet delicious tapas – think crispy croquettes or melt-in-the-middle tortilla.  

Positioned perfectly harbourside for a view back across the whitewashed town of Cadaqués, Talla’s cooking is just as good as the outlook. Here just-off-the-boat fish and seafood is paired with market vegetables and the menu puts a playful spin on the tapas classics.
