Not just any old botanical garden, the Jardín Etnobotánico de Oaxaca is considered to be an icon of Oaxaca City. Designed by a team headed by locally-renowned Francisco Toledo (aka El Maestro), the garden combines the rich history of Oaxaca and it's artistic traditions, whilst growing magnificent plants. OS79 is the spot for creatives. Led by Tatiana Sarasa (a botanical wool dyer, and visual artis), take a workshop to learn how to spin, weave, or knit using the finest hand-selected yarns. If you're not in the creative mindset, pop by the shop to browse the perfect, ready-made sweaters and shawls. 

Stack upon stack of ceramics and pottery line the workshop shelves at Olleria Can Vent. Dating back since the 1700's, the earthenware pots continue to be handcrafted on site. It's worth a visit, even if you don't have room in your case for some crockery.
