This sweet kissaten, or coffee house, is tucked away in a small quiet street in Ginza and has the reputation of being the oldest coffee shop in the area. This legendary spot only serves coffee in vintage crockery, and is truly some of the best coffee we have tried in a while.

Wagashi is considered an art form in Japan, and Toraya treats it just as that in its little shop and adjacent cafe. The little sweets are delicately displayed like artwork, and can be enjoyed with traditional tea in the cafe!

This cosy & sumptuous restaurant churns out steakhouse classics and gourmet dishes. Their divine variety of meats is an excellent option for you to line your stomach the night before Oktoberfest. 

Long tables line the dining room of this sleek & modern exposed brick restaurant that bills itself as a New York-style steakhouse. Order from their menu or head to their fridge and choose the cut your heart and tummy desire. We recommend to pair your juicy filet or slow-cooked ribs with their marvelous selection of wines. 

This restaurant is one of Munich's excellent selection of steakhouses. It will turn any meat eater into a meat lover with its alternatives of refined cuts, ages, temperatures and ways of cooking. If you're visiting Munich during summer, have lunch in their charming terrace to soak up some sun while you refresh with an ice cold beer. 

When you're in Munich you might be keen for a very traditional Bavarian spot & this is our favourite as it is amiable without being crazy touristy. Their beer garden is in its peak during summer and it works perfectly for lunch with friends before heading to a museum or a stroll around the city. 

This fascinating bar is a splendid place to sip your beer outdoors during a sunny afternoon or get ready for the night and bring your big pearl earrings out for drinks and a little bite. 

A bit tired of sipping steins of beer? We can only suggest heading to this wonderful cocktail bar for some truly superb drinks. Our recommendation is to go on thursdays for some live music by local artists. 

This intimate, buzzing bar makes up for what they lack in space with their exceptionally good drinks. If you need a break from Bavarian beers, this is the place to go!
