Creativity is just one of the red threads that binds Stephanie and Maurits together. This powerhouse couple, founders of ZELT (a studio that designs and builds textile structures and spaces) and Sustainder (an innovator in smart led lighting for public spaces) respectively, are as well-versed in the wonders of their home city Amsterdam as they are in great Norwegian hiking spots, charming French farmhouses and gemütlich Alpine après-ski. While they're true experts in all things caffeinated, artsy or leavened, we find ourselves seeking their advice no matter what we're on the hunt for.

From the team that brought us Oficina, comes the café bar we never knew we needed. Located within the Stedelijk we now have no excuses but to stay for longer in this brilliant gallery. With a coffee and pastry bar in the entrance hall and a cafe upstairs, FONDA serves a dangerously delicious combination of the finest Hinata matcha, the richest cold brews, and some scrumptious seasonal plates. Go early to nab one of the in-house baked focaccia, the toppings change daily although the pesto, wild garlic, and Dutch sheep's cheese is our current go-to.
Now Noord knows a thing or two about good tacos. Coba, Bacalar and now Cosmo. It's a pop up from the family of Binnenvisser (all the big names) in which Omar Sanchez is rustling up some signature tacos and cocktails. The mushroom tinga tostada is a must, with an ice-cold Pacifico on the side. We're eagerly awaiting for Cosmo's reopening and Sanchez's next residency.
