Though we'd tend to be in agreement that French food is best found in France, Cafe St Honoré strongly proves otherwise. It's a Parisian-bistro with a "slow food: philosophy and a daily changing menu. A causal cosy atmosphere, but we reassure you the food is mighty tasty.

The sister of Aizle, Noto and LYLA, three of Edinburgh's top dining gems, tipo's motto "we make delicious food" rings simple but true. Small plates of zeppole topped generously with freshly-shaved pecorino and ever-so-crispy lamb fritte with a white anchovy crumb have us coming back for more. What really steals the show however are the hearty bowls of pasta.
