Founded in 1921 by Eugénie Brazier a trip to La Mère Brazier is nothing short of exceptional. With a menu that changes by season, aside from the regular feature of a signature lobster stew, expect some of the finest Lyonnaise food. To top it all off is the interior: dine under the 1930s stained glass windows and marvel at the Saarinen Tulip chairs. 

Don't be alarmed when we say that at the core of Substat are mushrooms; of which the chef and owner has an extraordinary encyclopedia of knowledge on. From pan-fried chanterelles to the black sesame, clementine and pumpkin confit tartlet, this is modern-dining at its best. 

Open, even on a Sunday, Le Café Des Fédérations is a traditional bouchon lyonnais. With its iconic gingham tablecloths and exceptional atmosphere, you just can't go wrong. 

Offering a traditional, la forumule, Chez Georges is, like many spots in Lyon, your extraordinary, cosy spot for a three course feast. Start with Georges' terrine, try the "Maison Fanton" hot sausage, but if there's one thing you must do: order the special authentique crème caramel. Thank us later!
