With only 10 rooms, each uniquely designed, this is the perfect, intimate place to stay. Though small, the hotel is bursting with personality: from the artwork on the walls, to the porcelain tiled bar. Wandering around the hotel gardens, has to be one of our favourite pastimes.

Creation Wines is situated on the scenic Hemel-en-Aarde Ridge, in the heart of the Cape Floral Kingdom. It is a place where family and friends meet to celebrate world-class wines and creative cuisine. The name ‘Creation’ came about as a tribute to the favourable wine growing conditions the team have created. Founders Jean-Claude and Carolyn Martin wanted to refer to the fact that we were the very first to establish virus-free vineyards on the farm, as well as reminding visitors and guests of their purpose of finding the spirit of renewal.

Rooted in seasonal Overberg produce and relaxed vineyard hospitality, The Kitchen Door at Gabriëlskloof is a wood-fired, farm-to-table restaurant in the Bot River Valley. Led by chef Jen Ward, the menu leans into honest, unfussy cooking – biltong-spiced sirloin with burrata, fire-roast chicken with rosemary buttermilk, and smoked potato gnocchi with charred broccoli – best enjoyed with a glass of the estate’s wine, under the olive trees or by the fire.

Focusing on local ingredients, The Restaurant at Newton Johnson brings together brilliant parings between food and wine. Located in the Hemel-en-Aarde Valley, there is a restaurant, the tasting room and deck. The renowned chef Jamika Strydom-Kastner leads the culinary team, and they creates seasonal menus with dishes that often feature influences from various cuisines.
