Levain et le vin is a wonderful bakery & wine shop that sells gorgeous loaves of sourdough bread & exciting & unusual natural wines. Did we mention it’s adorable too?

Chill & down-to-earth, Gertrude is quintessentially Amsterdam. Though it’s new to the dining scene in the city, it feels like one of those places that we’ve been going to for years. The combination of warm service, a carefully considered wine list & a sun-drenched terrace makes Gertrude an especially lovely place to go for a ‘heerlijke’ bite & a crisp ‘wijntje’. 

No great European city is complete without a sweeping, sprawling food hall, and Stockholm's Östermalms Food Hall is one of the best. Come here for a quick bite or to stock up on specialty ingredients for the week.

Creative but still low-key, Sturehof is a favourite amongst Stockholmers. And a go-to for us whenever we're in town! Enjoy delicious, inventive seafood dishes in an old-world restaurant.

Whether you're on the hunt for stellar homemade pizza or simply craving a good, old-fashioned steak, Brasserie Astoria is a real charmer. This bustling brasserie has all the glamour and opulence of days gone by. 

The Nationalmuseum in Stockholm is an art and design museum housing seven centuries of Swedish and European art, from 1500s to present. Visit this fab museum on the peninsula Blasieholmen.
