At 1,920 metres, Wasserngrat stands out for excellent mountain dining with a focus on local produce. Expect Simmental beef entrecôte, rösti with eggs and bacon, and gruyère moitié-moitié fondue served with pickles, potatoes and a sharp shot of schnapps. Meringues with thick double cream from Gruyère often close out the meal. Two terraces follow the sun, with sweeping views across snow-dusted peaks. Winter bookings are wise.

We love this cosy mountain restaurant because of the large sunny terrace and their delicious Alpine food. The restaurant can reached by the Eggli cable car or take the mountain trail in winter & summer.

Behind its Belle Époque façade, Le Grand Bellevue blends original mouldings with pattern-happy wallpaper and lavish fabrics. The spa is a destination in itself, but the hotel’s real pull lies in its confident design, smiling service and central village setting. Guests favour the understated elegance, knowing the family-owned hotel is an extension of its owners, Daniel and Davia Koetser, and that being taken care of is the name of the game here.

A dependable village address for manicures and pedicures, Nails&More runs efficiently and stays consistently busy. From classic polish to gels, it’s a regular stop before dinners and events or nights at GreenGo. The central location makes it easy to slot an appointment in between shopping and an aperitivo. Appointments are advised during ski season and summer holidays, when the diary fills quickly.

Founded in 1957, this private members’ club sits high on Wasserngrat with a glamorous reputation. The menu leans firmly Swiss, with fondue constantly bubbling on tables, while live music often drives a buzzy lunchtime scene. Long waitlists, strict fees and a roll call of royal and celebrity visitors reinforce its status as one of Gstaad’s most storied and sought-after dining rooms.
