We love this cosy mountain restaurant because of the large sunny terrace and their delicious Alpine food. The restaurant can reached by the Eggli cable car or take the mountain trail in winter & summer.
A members-only club above Eggli, reached via a six-minute private gondola created by Porsche Design Studio. Among Gstaad’s most exclusive lunch and après addresses, dishes arrive on keepsake blue-and-red plates by Themis Zouganeli. The dramatic chalet setting and sweeping mountain panoramas do much of the talking. Access is limited to members and waitlist guests, with reservations essential for those lucky enough to know someone inside.
Steps from the Eggli gondola, this hotel-restaurant turns out blistered wood-fired pizzas, fresh pastas and generous sharing salads. Quick service and fair pricing, paired with better-than-average ingredients, make it a sought-afer lunch (and dinner) destination with the kids. Casual interiors and sunlit terraces encourage lingering between ski sessions, while the alpine views quietly remind you you’re still very much in the mountains.
Next to the kids’ mountain at Wispile, Ski Bar South Pole is the sunniest slope- side coffee stop. Warming lattes and buttery pastries fuel parents on a casual terrace, where ski instructors shout “snow plough!” at wobbling beginners below. It’s no-frills and functional, but reliably placed for a caffeine pause between lessons, sunshine laps and gondola rides back up the mountain.
A one-stop shop for all things cheese and fondue. Just tell them your headcount, and they’ll prep and put together a full kit for you to take away, feast, and return.
