Though it’s got seriously impressive credentials – both the chef & the sommelier were at Toscanini for years – Domenica is totally down to earth. This homey, cosy spot is ideal for Sunday dinners (Domenica, in Italian!) but just as lovely any day of the week. With a little bit of Italian flair & a lot of warmth, Domenica is quickly becoming an old standby in our dining routine.

This (sometimes) sunny park in Amsterdam’s hip Oost neighbourhood has recently been revamped, & we barely recognise it. In a good way, of course! Pack up a picnic with provisions from the Marqt on the Linnaeusstraat & spend the afternoon people-watching before heading off to explore the ‘hood. If it’s a particularly steamy day, take a dip in the paddling pool or lounge under one of the park’s many leafy trees to catch the breeze.

A stylish home away from home, but with a twist of lush vineyards: La Cotte Orchard Cottages is all of that and more. Soak up the scenery on your veranda, after a dip in your own private pool, and gaze out onto the most magnificent views of the Franschhoek Valley. 

Taking over a space from a beloved restaurant can be tricky, as the old ardent supporters are likely to lament the changeover. Miraculously, Restaurant Watergang has managed to fill the very big shoes of La Cacerola. The table d'hote menu at Restaurant Watergang changes monthly and focuses on inventive takes on hearty comfort food classics. The service is friendly & attentive without being overbearing, so it's a great spot for a long, tranquil dinner.

FYN is a cutting-edge restaurant that brings high quality ingredients to the forefront. We love it for the stellar food (read: kaiseki) and beautiful views of Table Mountain. 

Run by the same lovely team behind Café de Klepel, Parlotte is a sweet little bistro and wine bar tucked away on the Westerstraat. It's the best for chatting the day away with friends and family!

The gorgeous natural skincare brand has finally made its way to Amsterdam and we couldn't be happier! It's shop is so bright and beautiful, and the lovely staff are always ready to jump to your help.

It's easy to fly right past Bottleshop on your bike and never notice it’s there. But that, my friend, would be a serious shame. This refined, minimalist wine bar is sleek but still charming and has a fantastic menu of natural wines from around the world. Come by for a great bottle and some inventive small plates.
