Good Night gives Woodstock a pan-Asian twist, with a menu that happily hops between Korean and Thai  flavours. Chewy tteokbokki rice cakes are blanketed in melted raclette, shrimp tossed with Thai basil and sticky chilli, and ube mochi are served as sweet finale. Add a carefully chosen wine list and a cosy, romantic dining room, and you have all the ingredients for a spirited night out.

Painter Frederic Edwin Church clearly had a flair for the dramatic: his hilltop home, Olana, is a Persian-inspired fantasy of patterned interiors, intricate details and sweeping Hudson River views. The 250-acre grounds are just as carefully composed, with winding carriage roads, meadows and woodlands revealing fresh vistas of the Catskill Mountains around every bend. 

Feast & Floret brings together two of life’s finer pleasures: Italian-inspired cooking with a Tuscanian twist and seasonal flowers. Set in a former 19th-century blacksmith’s shop and carriage house, the Hudson restaurant serves up handmade pasta, wood-fired vegetables and locally sourced produce. Before leaving, stop by the flower cart for a bouquet to take home – and perhaps a jar of honey from the restaurant’s own farm.
