The newest outpost of this New York favourite is located in the heart of Covent Garden. They bring so many of the thoughtful touches we love in NYC all the way to London.
The auditorium is beautiful, with its curving rows of gilt-edged galleries; and then there’s the modern extension with a rooftop terrace overlooking the piazza that anyone can visit. Both the building and the roster of shows (contemporary ballet alongside world-class opera) are a clever mix of modernity and history. Everyone should go to the Royal Opera House at least once in their life.
We tend to lurk in Covent Garden most often when we're heading to the theatre. And when a show ends and we're craving a juicy glass or a tasty bite, we head straight for The 10 Cases.
Bar come shop & eatery, Moto is everything a sake and artisanal drink fan could want. Nestled within the heart of Covent Garden, the staff at Moto are always more than happy to help you find the perfect pairing, whether it's sake, shochu, gin, or absinthe. Pop by to buy a bottle or two, and find yourself staying for an obento.
This retro-styled seafood joint is an offshoot of the brilliant wine- based bistro The 10 Cases down the road. The fish cookery – from potted shrimp croquette to trout en croute – is as good as anything at Scott’s or J Sheekey, but without the wait for a table.
