Local brews are on tap, and everything from the seafood to the sourdough is mindfully sourced. Nab a corner table for lunch that turns, easily and often, into a second bottle. 

If it's one of those long-awaited sunny days in London, we always try to snag a seat at this neighbourhood gem. It's the perfect place to sip a warm cappuccino, enjoy a delicious almond croissant and read a good book in the sun. 

This is a spot that comes up in every foodie Londoner’s little black book. As a result, it might seem surprisingly simple – there isn't even the option to book - but that is its joy. Best for a brunch of winter tomatoes on sourdough followed by olive oil cake, with views of runners, dogs and cyclists navigating the canal-side path. Open from March to November, it’s particularly glorious on a sunny day.
