Founded in 1733 as a bozzolari, Cafè Gilli is the oldest café in Florence. We can hardly choose between the hundreds of traditional Italian pastries & chocolates on the menu here.

This industrial chic cafe is one of our favourite places to grab breakfast when we're over in Highbury. If you don't happen to be in that part of the city, it's well worth the trek.

There are many great spots for aperitivi in Florence, but we hold firm that Palazzo Guadagni is one of the best. Come by for a Negroni or a glass of wine. The hotel is also a lovely, affordable option in the centre of town.
