There's nothing better than walking over to dinner in the courtyard of 2 Fore Street and settling down to a seafood feast. The roasted whole tiger prawns are a must! 

Within an old industrial, working port is Argoe. The building is trendy, the vibe even more so. Serving small plates and low intervention wines on tap - this little gem has stolen our hearts. 

We can think of no better spot to live out your Cornish dream. Wake up with the beaches quite literally on your doorstep and marvel at the breathtaking sea views which surround you. With a typical 'country cottage' feel, think open fireplaces, exposed wood, and Victorian ceilings, you truly do feel like you're living in a sea-side fantasy. 

This museum, formerly known as Trewyn Studios and the home and workspace of Barbara Hepworth, exhibits a beautiful collection of pieces. It's a studio, yard, garden and now an open-air exhibiting space; a visit here is a must. 

A guesthouse, bakery, restaurant, and shop all whilst being a working farm. Coombeshead Farm is a cosy, country retreat with a fantastic farm-to-table kitchen. Waking up gets all the more easy knowing that the breakfast (which includes morning buns, compotes, yoghurt, freshly baked bread and cheeses) awaits you!

You've never tasted veg so fresh, nor so good, as the dishes served at Crocadon Farm. Take the kohlrabi dressed in green tomato and lemon pepper, or the black walnut, blue hyssop and kale - it is all so delicious. All produce is sourced and grown on the land, and the bread freshly baked. It's a fine example of how food and farming should collaborate for both the environment and for the flavour.  

A café come deli, which specialises in its gourmet ready meals and delicious low intervention wines. Pop by the café for lunch or peruse the deli for some restaurant-quality, minimal fuss meals. The cornish fish pie topped with mash, nutmeg, and Davidstow cheddar will impress all dinner party guests. 

A quintessential inn with a modern twist. Their farm-to-table mantra makes their classic fish and chips, chicken schnitzel, or FB cheeseburger just top-notch. Good for the heart, and for the soul; settle in for the afternoon, and if the sun is out lounge on the terrace overlooking the idyllic Helford Passage. 

A family affair, Flora is a cosy spot to grab some brekky before your day's adventure, or settle down for lunch and dinner. With only a small network of local suppliers who source the fish, meat, and forage, grow, and harvest the veg, you can be assured that the food is as is fresh as it gets. Take a walk through the beautiful Trelowarren Estate to round off your perfect meal. 

Magnificent views and great food, Four Boys seriously seems to have it all. Add the fact that it specialises in grilled seafood and pasta to the mix, we think this is fast becoming the perfect spot in Cornwall. So settle down for some ricotta and sage ravioli with truffle shavings, or hake with mussels, nduja, and pickled cabbage. Leave room for dessert: the muscovado tart is to die for. 

Bread lovers don't fret, for Gorse Bakery will satisfy all those 'kneady' cravings! A locally sourced, independent sourdough bakery which offers all the classics as well as exceptional patisserie, or as they call it a 'pastel party'. From pastel de natas glazed with quince liqueur, to the ever-so-buttery croissant with coffee syrup, your breakfast, or midday snack, won't get much better than this. 

Named after her own clothing label, Carole Elsworth’s Handworked is hands-down one of the best shops in Penzance. Alongside the garments, which often incorporate vintage fabrics, the store has a curated collection of homeware, accessories and gifts, all with an emphasis on the handmade. Wooden bowls are filled with merino-silk yarns by a women’s co-operative in Uruguay, raffia baskets are stacked on stools and linen-backed bird prints hang on the wall.   

Now we know that the UK has a reputation to uphold when it comes to country pubs and public houses. Harbour House exceeds all expectations. Located on the water’s edge in a little fishing village, this is as quaint as it gets. Grab a pint, though we would highly recommend staying for the food. If you happen to be in the neighbourhood come Sunday, you’ve got to go for the Sunday Lunch: served with Yorkshire puds and beef fat roasties, this is English dining at its finest. 

The Mediterranean or the Cornish coastline? Hotel Tresanton could fool us. This is a charming seaside retreat with remarkable sea views, making it the perfect spot for a family get-away, or romantic stay for two. 

With views over Porthleven harbour, come rain or shine the view is always picturesque at Kota Kai. Sip on a cocktail or two (the Kai mojito is always a go-to on a summer's day), tuck in to some great grub, and idle away the afternoon taking in the true Cornish landscapes. Idyllic!

You can have a little bit of everything at Kota. Whether it be snacks, oysters and small plates, a seven-course tasting menu, or an à la carte 'see what you fancy.' What you do know, is that this harbourside spot has perfected the Asian fusion cuisine whilst also putting Cornwall's rich foraging landscape to full use.

A landscape hotel, come treehouse-like cabins, Kudhva is not only an architectural delight, but an adventurer's dream. Perched amongst the treetops, this is a glamping experience at its very finest. Whether you're after a tent experience, or wanting to stay in the Danish Cabin - be assured that if you're hunting for serenity, you've stumbled across the right spot. 

Cocktails, natural wines, small plates, and ice cream all accompanied by some groovy tunes. Little Palais is a bar and bottleshop that we could easily return to time and time again. With vinyl night every Thursday, if you're in Cornwall, this is not one to miss. 

Though Cornwall isn't short of a wine bar or too, Lovetts is something special. With a charming atmosphere, head here for some great natural wines or craft beer, all accompanied by bar snacks and charcuterie. Treat yourself to a cocktail or two if you're in the mood, their Gimlet (made with four parts gin, and one part lime cordial) is really something to write home about. 

Open dawn to dusk, LULA offers their take on sundowners. Fusing together Cornish seafood, with New Orleans style, the kitchen rustles up the most delicious things: think buttermilk pancakes for brunch, or a cornish lobster, crayfish and prawn roll for lunch, and a shack sundae for pud. All washed down by an icy cold drink. Perfect for kids and adults alike, LULA will become one of your Cornwall favourites. 

As the name suggests, this spot is the seafood haven. Just a short amble away from the ocean and fish market, it comes to no surprise that what this spot does best revolves around the sea. Grab a couple of the 'taster plates' to share. Whether it be the crab mayo sandwich or crispy sole with Katsu curry sauce, the queue is totally worth it. It's worth the hype!

Legend has it that the Mermaid of Zennor lured Cornish folk into the sea by its beauty. Moomaid’s muses however, are their named dairy cows who help make the daily dosage of ice cream at Tremedda Farm. They have us hooked!

The news of its reopening come March is perhaps some of the best - for this is the place to go if you’re in the mood for seafood based sharing plates - and let’s face it, when are we not? Their fried skate and tartare sauce rolls are already calling out our name.
