Launched in 2022 with a stellar Damien Hirst exhibition, Gagosian sits along the historic Promenade and hosts museum‐level shows by artists from the gallery’s global roster. Regularly changing artworks often reflect the seasonal themes of the town. The space itself is restrained and architectural, designed by Rémi Tessier, who designed
the brand’s Paris outpost and London’s The Emory hotel.

It’s also the place to pick up a takeaway coffee or hot chocolate before hitting the slopes or catching a train. Regulars return for favourites, while newcomers quickly understand the efficiency and consistency that make this working café and pâtisserie an institution.

Specialising in handmade Swiss chocolate and truffles, this is also the go‐to for birthday cakes or celebration sweets. Hot chocolate is thick and rich, perfect post‐ski or during a mid‐shopping break, and takeaway coffee is a good pick‐me‐up in time for a quick train hop. Shelves brim with boxed chocolates, bars, and the occasional thin‐crust tarte aux pommes.

New in 2023, the Paris‐born gallery’s Swiss outpost brings in a tightly edited international programme that rotates seasonally. Exhibitions lean large with artists such as Picasso, James Turrell and Chloe Wise, shown in a restrained, light‐filled space. It has quickly become a discreet draw for collectors, curators and art‐minded visitors passing through the village.
