Stockholm is far from short of wine bars, in fact they're dotted around the blocks as frequent as café's are in Melbourne! Café Cuvée is a cosy spot to spend your evening sampling some delicious wines, and sharing some small plates alongside. From the Swedish classics such as white asparagus and torsk with forellrom, to their sweet treats: there's something for everyone.
If perusing the shelves of Nord Books could be a regular activity, we'd make sure to do it often. With a rotating selection of English fiction, essays, poetry and arts from small presses, Nord Books is practically brimming with titles to intrigue and covers to excite. If you're not based in Stockholm, rumour has it that an online store is opening soon...all eyes peeled!
You know you've come to the right place when a restaurant is full at all times, seven days a week. Even more so, when you notice that the place is filled with locals and tourists alike. Rolling pasta into every possible shape you can imagine, GAZZA is a spaghetteria that whisks you back to the cobbled streets of Italia.
A former royal palace of the 19th century, now a bustling hub and space to sleep, drink and eat. Inspired by the Arts and Crafts Movement of the 70s, expect intarsia-wood inlays in an otherwise simple side shelf, hand-woven linens and the grooviest of sound systems in each of the 32 rooms and suites. Whilst we'd recommend staying the night, a visit to the Köket for a casual lunch is a must.
