There’s an otherworldly quality to this coastline with its scrubby headlands and jagged cliffs. The expanse of wilderness that leads to Spain’s most easterly point, Cap de Creus, is kept quiet thanks to strict restrictions on cars during the summer months. While you can take a shuttle bus from Cadaqués to the Cap de Creus point, the best way to explore the main coves is hiking, kayaking or aboard a boat.  

Cadaqués is home to the Salvador Dali's whimsical home, and is now open for visitors to explore. A labyrinth of creativity, it encompasses Dali's workshop, outdoor spaces, and intimate quarters, all infused with surrealism. Truly a must-see if you are a fan of his work!

The former home of painter Joan Ponç, Dalí’s friend and artistic contemporary, transformed by Ponç’s grandson into a 12-room hotel. With a coffee shop, natural wine bar and a busy summer events agenda (think pop-up supper clubs, DJ sets and weekly yoga classes), it’s the place to be.  

This wine bar puts a new meaning on local by exclusively serving wine grown at the owner Martín Faixó’s vineyard in Cap de Creus which is walking-distance away. Pick between white, red or rose and enjoy with the equally local tapas plates including grilled sardines and fresh ceviche.
