Arguably one of the best sunset sighting spots in Ibiza - whether this is partly due to the delicious cocktails we're not sure. Try a Belza, or an Old Cuban and soak up the ridiculously good ambience.
Set against the picturesque salt pans of Salinas, MAINE Ibiza is housed in an 18th-century whitewashed parish (parocchia) by the small church of Sant Francesc de s'Estany. Designed by MAINE founder, Joey Ghazal, in wabi-sabi style, the building blends monastic minimalism with the soft glamour of an Ibizan al fresco restaurant. The menu is seafood-led, extensive and everything fantastic, and they take their alcohol just as seriously. A painstakingly curated wine programme of local biodynamic, old and new world wines, and mixologists brewing elixirs from locally foraged herbs and flowers. This is the place you will recommend again and again.
A trendy spot to idle away the day: El Chiringuito really does offer it all. Sunbathe against the backdrop of uninterrupted views to Formentera and Dalt Vila, shop at the beach boutique, before dining on some of the freshest seafood. Our favourite has to be the whole roasted sea bass.
Casa Jondal is a dreamy beach club and restaurant situated on Cala Jondal. Try any of their delicious, minimal seafood dishes by chef Rafa Zafra and you will be guaranteed to leave more than content.
This place feels like a secret you are lucky to know. A new addition to the ever-inventive Ibizan dining scene, Subun sake bar is low-lit and low-key, where island DJs and night owls drift for a quiet pour and a rich, soupy ramen and Japanese bites. Our favourite is the Ibizan jungle broth, a spicy curried soup with Ibizan cuttle fish and prawn. Pair with one of their fabulous Japanese sakes – like the Hiraizumi Hiten Hakucho, brewed from the water of Mount Chokai – and you will never make it out on the town.
