I Due Cippi has been part of the Saturnia landscape since 1976, when founder Michele saw the potential in Maremma long before the region became a byword for good food and wine. Three generations later, that same belief in local producers still drives the restaurant, from seasonal porcini mushrooms and truffles to traditional dishes such as trippa and lampredotto, reworked with a lighter touch. Most eyes, however, drift towards the enormous fireplace at the centre of the dining room, where meat master Lorenzo oversees everything from Chianina and Wagyu to meticulously dry-aged cuts matured for months before meeting the oak-fired grill.
