The Colosseum is without a doubt one of the world’s most impressive archeological wonders. Watch the famous film 'The Gladiator' before you head there: it somehow makes it feel so much grander. 

When in doubt, we think it's best to order the namesake dish at any restaurant. Although, at Dal Bolognese, you have a few more than one to pick from, so why not get all of them? 

Delfina Delettrez's flagship store features the most stunning jewels. We absolutely love the 'The Marry Me Eyes and Lips' ring. Ask to see any of the limited-edition designs: they will blow you away. 

Nearly a hundred years later, Due Ladroni is still known for its exceptional quality and stewardship. For wine lovers, their privately managed cellar is a haven. 

It may come to a surprise to find a statue of a elephant, high on a pedestal and carrying an obelisk directly in front of the ever-so grand Gothic architecture of the Santa Maria sopra Minerva. This Bernini-designed statue created upon the order of Pope Alexander VII has a fascinating history, well worth checking out!

Talk about a restaurant that has it all. From countless different pizzas to a separate focaccia menu, Emma is the perfect spot for a casual lunch or dinner. 

Featuring great natural wines, this wine bar with just a few tables has the perfect appetizer menu. Try the bruschetta with fresh ricotta, mortadella and pistachio pesto. 

Though moderation may not be a term applied at Enoteca L'Antidoto, we're not at all mad about it. Order the wine by the bottle (no glasses allowed) and settle down for a merriment of small plates, vinyls and a terrific atmosphere. 

Set within the lovely Villa Laetitia, Enoteca La Torre takes inspiration from the surroundings to guide the ever-evolving menu. The food is indisputably exceptional (it holds two Michelin stars for good reason), though it's the wine cellar, which has been curated since the 1980s, which is the real highlight. 

A departure from your average magazine stall, Erno features unique publications and constantly changing installations. A word of warning: Erno's is a pop up space that changes as frequently as your good-reads list. Make sure to check their opening hours and location before heading to browse those shelves. 

Farinè la Pizza knows exactly what they do best and they stick to that. Featuring a menu of pizza only, this is the perfect spot to share a few with friends, or keep it all for yourself - we won't judge. 

While many restaurants in Rome and across Italy might consider cacio e pepe as their signature, Felice a Testaccio certainly stands apart in our book. Be sure to check the menu for each day's specials!

The flagship store of Italian fashion and design house, Fendi, now resides in Palazzo Fendi. Beyond their legendary clothing and accessories, the Palazzo also houses Zuma and Fendi's private suites for a chic stay. 

While maybe not as famous as Fontana di Trevi, we think it is just as beautiful and worth a visit. 

Beyond your other excellent Roman bakeries, Forno Campo de 'Fiori is known for their excellent pizzas by the slice. Make sure to grab one as you head around town. 

Taking inspiration from four generations of family bakers, Forno Conti & Co. is a modern take on the classic Roman bakery. By introducing new ingredients to traditional methods, Forno Conti & Co. always has an enticing selection on offer. 

With only ten suites, G-Rough takes design down to the smallest details. Each suite was created based on famed Italian designers, or so called "muses," that will surely lead to a special stay. 

A Roman art gallery housed in the former Villa Borghese. Check out Bernini's masterpieces including the sculpture of chaste nymph Daphne being turned into a laurel tree pursued in vain by Apollo god of light. 

This is a must visit in Rome, but it’s only open on a Friday or Saturday morning, so go early!

Not only is the space a marvel to view, Galleria Doria Pamphilj is also labeled as the largest private collection of art in Rome. Assembled by families over the last few hundreds of years, their collection is nearly impossible to rival. 

Famed for being the Pope's tailor since 1798, Gammarelli is a house that excels in their craft. While they inventory is for a specific niche, we envy their attention to detail and fine craftsmanship that sets them apart.
