Underneath a grand mansion that’s been the seat of the Province of Rome since 1873 lie the archaeological remains of several lavish Domus of imperial Rome. The excavated fragments have been turned into a fascinating multimedia ‘experience’. Book your tour (every 30 min) in advance.
Not only is the space a marvel to view, Galleria Doria Pamphilj is also labeled as the largest private collection of art in Rome. Assembled by families over the last few hundreds of years, their collection is nearly impossible to rival.
Just a short amble from the Trevi Fountain and you'll come across this bistro-style restaurant with great ossobuco and fantastic fish. Order the great selection of raw seafood and the cheese cake with wild fruits.
While it is always touristy, it's for sure worth a short visit. Combine it with lunch or dinner at Baccano around the corner!
