Though it's always nice to be in town, we are big fans of this idyllic luxurious resort just a few kilometres outside of Saint-Tropez. Nestled between the olive groves and lavender fields, La Réserve Ramatuelle is known for its spectacular spa.
Sauvageonne means "the wild one" in French – fitting for a restaurant hidden in a bamboo forest off Ramatuelle, where disco balls catch light between the trees. Order the smoked edamame with nori salt to kick things off. In a few hours, the music moves from piano bar to DJ, and midnight arrives with another round of cocktails.
Saint-Tropez does a good job of making you forget you’re surrounded by vineyards. Le Chai is the reminder. The tasting room and restaurant of the Fondugues-Pradugues estate sit on a terrace overlooking the vines, serving biodynamic rosé while chef Valentine Costuna sends out dishes to share. In summer, there are sunset markets with local makers, pétanque under the pines, and everyone’s favourite: dinner in the fields with the vines turning gold around you.
Stop by Plage de l'Escalet for quite the enchanting beach day! With translucent waters, moss-dressed rocks and glittering sands, your day is guaranteed to be a lasting memory.
If you’re going to argue about the best bouillabaisse on the Riviera – and people do – Chez Camille has to be part of the conversation. The family has been simmering scorpion fish, St Pierre, and chapon over a wood fire in a cove called Bonne Terrasse since 1953, which feels a world away from the Pampelonne scene. The interiors still pays homage to the 1950s, and the sunset over Cap Camarat will help settle any argument.
