This very special independent museum of modern art was the first of its kind on the French Riviera, and is home to the an enchanting sculpture garden and collections that include the works of artists like Miro, Calder, Giacometti and Chagall. 

This sweet little chapel is whimsically decorated by Matisse himself while he lived in Vence in the 1940s. There are only three colours present in his work - green, yellow and blue, used to symbolise nature, the sun, and the Mediterranean.

This family-run establishment serves delicious authentic food from the South. Chef Pierre Altobelli is continuing the legacy of his mother Alda in this lovely and warm bistro with a vintage feel.
