When the doors opened way back when in 1986 the Librairie Ancienne Clagahé was committed to offering books of all ages, collector's bindings, manuscripts, archives and photographs. Fast forward to now, and this quaint antique bookstore is still doing just that. 

The quenelle is a must for when at Café Comptoir Abel: gloriously rich and creamy there is nothing more comforting than this. It's a spot steeped in history and as one of Lyon's oldest bouchons, it's safe to ascertain that it's somewhat iconic to the booming gastronomic scene. The menu doesn't change, but for once we're thankful!

Berenice and Andrea are at the helm of this fun, neighbourhood coffee spot. When they're not sourcing the finest coffee beans and knocking up some delicious patisserie, Andrea is also a graphic designer. So you're sure to sip on your morning coffee surrounded by style. 

As the largest pedestrian square in Europe and quite literally the epicentre of Lyon, there is no doubt that you will come across this spot at least once whilst on your adventures. Gaze up at François-Frédéric Lemot's statue of Louis XIV, do a spot of shopping and decide which of the four main streets to amble along next.
