When the doors opened way back when in 1986 the Librairie Ancienne Clagahé was committed to offering books of all ages, collector's bindings, manuscripts, archives and photographs. Fast forward to now, and this quaint antique bookstore is still doing just that. 

Breakfast, lunch, dinner: coffee, wine, and small plates. Grive is a bistro come deli where you can nibble on delicious sharing dishes and sip on their exceptional, though concise natural wine list. What is more, you can also pop by the grocery store to pick up your favourite bottle to-go. 

As the largest pedestrian square in Europe and quite literally the epicentre of Lyon, there is no doubt that you will come across this spot at least once whilst on your adventures. Gaze up at François-Frédéric Lemot's statue of Louis XIV, do a spot of shopping and decide which of the four main streets to amble along next.
