The coffee, cake and petit fours at Leckerbaer are so good we hesitate to call this spot a guilty pleasure. If you're on the go you can grab a few treats for takeaway.

A curated collection of vintage designer pieces and timeless homeware staples can be found at a showroom on outer Østerbro that also doubles up as a coffee hangout. Run by a design-minded couple, Signe and Max, with the hope to make precious interiors workable and lived in. Dogs are more than welcome!

Lille Bakery is incredibly popular, and once you go, you'll absolutely understand why. It has top-notch pastries, as well as delicious salads and seasonal plates.

Scandinavia is known for being a leading force in the interior design world, and Copenhagen is definitely in our top destinations for shopping for our homes. Louise Roe is a brand that sells artisinal interior pieces - from full table sets to the most gorgeous little vases. 

New Mags' large vertical street-facing windows open into a chamber of coffee-table books, magazines, stylish literature, and accessories. As Europe's exclusive dealer to most of the publishers featured in-store, expect a largely unearthed collection. From 1,000-piece puzzles, design atlases, and zines dedicated to compact interiors, there's a treasure trove of literature to be flicked through. 

As the first luxury second hand shop in Copenhagen, O-S-V. knows what's up. Ever-so carefully curated, it even has its own fashion show at Copenhagen Fashion Week. 

Lampshades, trinkets, bedside tables and ludicrously ornate candelabras, Quriosa is an emporium of vintage treasures. Dart, duck and dive through the numerous antiques scattered haphazardly inside. Though, it's by rummaging through the street-side boxes where the true collectibles can be found. One man's trash is another man's treasure after all!

Proving once more that vintage is the way to go is Reseller. Only sourcing and stocking the crème de la crème of fashion houses and designers, go with an empty shopper and an eager eye. That Saks Potts dress is calling!

When an Italian chef from the acclaimed, apotek 57, opens a bakery in a city thrumming with bread and pastry addresses, it has to be worth a try. Chiara Barla's Riviera, doesn't disappoint. With interiors by FRAMA – a Farmhouse Trestle table assuming centre stage, a marble service counter and beige, stone floors glowing from the light that floods through the floor-to-ceiling windows – the historic, 1960s building and former bakery is given a fresh revival. Find a delectable selection of spandauers, matcha rolls, snurrer, and croissants alongside a collection of shokupan bread sandos. 

Copenhagen is a promised land for natural wine aficionados, and we personally can't leave the country without stopping by Rosforth & Rosforth to browse through their selection of biological and natural wines to take home to our friends and families. You might even catch one of their free tastings!

Rødder & Vin is a very sweet and stylish little boutique store where you can either have a browse through their vast selection of wines, or sit down in the bar area if you don't have the patience to wait until you get home to try one of their eclectic wines.

Located in The Villa is a quaint little bakery that is known for their "Rug", or Rye bread. This gorgeous sunlit space is the perfect place to have a quiet little moment with a coffee and one of their delicious baked goods. 

At Signatur, Nadia and Torben run a grocery store shaped by seasonality and soil. Their shelves are stocked with delicious biodynamic goods and vegetables so fresh they’re still flecked with dirt.

Sømunken all too often feels like the life and soul of Rantzausgade; it's never without a queue and there will always be a Nørrebro local chatting to owner and founder of Denmark's Green Fish Traders, Christoffer Skov Pedersen. Except the freshest, locally-caught, seasonal fish at the counter alongside loaves of eco rye from Skipper, tine of gourmet sardines and a few bottles of natural wine and cider perched precariously on the shelves. The prices are scribbled in black marker against the white tiled wall alongside miniature figurines (all ocean related) and reminders to order your infamous Lille Bakery loaf for the weekend. If you're not in the market for the full seafood haul, stop by for a fish-centric to-go lunch.

The Apartment can only be described as a whimsical experience, as this gallery/design store has been completely designed to look and feel like a true home - a very stylish one at that. Designer Tina Seidenfaden Busck has turned this 18th century building into an immersive shopping experience, where everything you see in the gallery can be yours to take home!

How about a glass of orange whilst browsing the bestsellers, or an iced oat latte whilst flicking through the endless rows of magazines? Thiemers Magasin is the ultimate spot to pick up a good read.
