Sømunken all too often feels like the life and soul of Rantzausgade; it's never without a queue and there will always be a Nørrebro local chatting to owner and founder of Denmark's Green Fish Traders, Christoffer Skov Pedersen. Except the freshest, locally-caught, seasonal fish at the counter alongside loaves of eco rye from Skipper, tine of gourmet sardines and a few bottles of natural wine and cider perched precariously on the shelves. The prices are scribbled in black marker against the white tiled wall alongside miniature figurines (all ocean related) and reminders to order your infamous Lille Bakery loaf for the weekend. This former pop-up has earned a permanent place in Copenhagen, and for good reason - its bao buns are insanely delicious! These Taiwanese steam buns come with a variety of fillings, like the classic pork belly or fried tofu. Don't forget to leave room for one of their original dessert buns!
