Beau Marché is everything from a vintage furniture store to a café come wine bar. Surrounded by flowers and of course, some of the coolest interior finds, pop on by for a Danish brekky or that perfectly chilled glass of orange.
New Mags' large vertical street-facing windows open into a chamber of coffee-table books, magazines, stylish literature, and accessories. As Europe's exclusive dealer to most of the publishers featured in-store, expect a largely unearthed collection. From 1,000-piece puzzles, design atlases, and zines dedicated to compact interiors, there's a treasure trove of literature to be flicked through.
Through a courtyard in Copenhagen's Indre By, is &Tradition's café and workable design space. As this infamous, Danish-founded interior designer drops a collection, the interiors to Lille Petra café also rotate. From oak book shelves filled with recipe books, lighting and jugs, to Viggo Boesen-sketched lounge chairs and long communal tables. In the kitchen is chef, Søren Wesh who dishes up Icelandic skyr yoghurt with a drizzle of fermented honey and sourdough rolls with whipped butter, pistachios and cheese. The garden oasis, though, is the main draw.
Amongst the numerous good eats in Copenhagen, the city is particularly jammed by trattorias and bistros. Helming the fresh pasta primi, secondi, and tiramisu takeover are the infamous duo, Mikkel Egelund and Morten Kaltoft; the names also behind Vesterbro's, Resto Bar and the city centre's French bistro, Pastis. Locale 21 is a similarly charming. It's Italian kitchen hand-rolls fresh pasta every Monday, and tosses it in oodles of rabbit ragu, butter sauce, and peperoncino to finish.
