Bottega Barlie is a corner-straddling spot in Copenhagen's inner-city Frederiksstaden district, an area characterised by the grand Rococo design of the inner city and the quaint lines of yellow houses in Nyboder, built by Christian IV to house the navy. Beckoning the locals, Bottega Barlie is a laid-back bistro serving Mediterranean-inspired, sharing plates from morning to night alongside an extensive wine list. Order a few plates to share (the white asparagus served with egg crème, salted lemon and manchego cheese is a highlight) and settle in for the evening. 

The first sight of the infamous Fabro will quite possibly be of a lively queue. This walk-in spot attracts flocks of chic locals for its very affordable, yet scrumptious bowls of pasta. The pomodoro never disappoints!
