Just a little bit outside Antwerp is the stunning open-air swimming pond Zwemvijver Boekenberg. This particular body of water is purified by more than 22.000 aquatic plants, so it is the perfect place to cool down on hot summer days.

Offering set tasting menus, from soft-shell crab with salted egg yolk, to brussels with hari chutney and fish sauce caramel, the food is a playful fusion of flavours. The drinks are equally experimental, so much to choose from it's difficult to know where to begin. A self-proclaimed hideout, untitled. is as intimate, cosy, and the food as exceptional as it gets.

Veranda is a stunning restaurant with an inventive tasting menu situated in a former youth home. Ask sommelier Daan Guelinckx for his favourite wines, and make sure you get a table in the small courtyard on warmer summer days.

What was once a working-class café, remains a neighborhood spot but now in the form of a equally casual, though hip restoration project. An à la carte menu that we can't have enough of, and a decor consisting of neon lights, net curtains, and large mirrors, we know this brown café has stolen our hearts!
