This tiny but lovely atelier by Ko Kado is well worth a visit. With beautiful and intricate stationery using original printing blocks the decoration paper is simply stunning. A master of his crafts, call into this studio simply to admire and marvel at his works. 

A beautiful temple to visit, especially in the morning when the light hits just right. What makes Daitoku-ji unique is its Christian background, look for the small cross located in one of the gardens. A must visit is the “garden of solitary sitting,” if you are lucky you will be one of the only ones there to truly take it all in. 

A charming secret coffee spot tucked away on a tiny alleyway in Kyoto. It oozes antique charm and is run by (you guessed it) a lovely husband and wife team who ensure that each guests feels as comfortable as possible. Though its menu is limited you are in for a treat here.

Zen Buddhist temple that is also known as the Golden Pavilion, as it is covered in glittering gold leaf: the pavilion dazzles visitors as it shimmers in the sunlight over its mirroring pond. Located in the far north west of Kyoto, the beautiful garden is worth the trip.
