South of Scauri lies the palm-dotted secluded estate of Tenuta Borgia, where traditional domed dammusi stand in striking contrast to the cobalt sea. Set within untamed Mediterranean gardens, the houses feel cinematic, with the largest and most atmospheric having starred in Luca Guadagnino’s 2015 film A Bigger Splash. They are available to rent individually or as a full estate takeover.

A must-stop for dessert, Il Gelato di Ulisse serves artisanal gelato made with local ingredients - think creamy pistachio, zesty lemons, and fresh basil.
