Moxon Street in Marylebone is a foodie hub of delights that includes The Ginger Pig butcher (don’t skip the sausage rolls), French wine specialist Le Vieux Comptoir and Rococo Chocolates. Passers-by will catch a whiff just walking past La Fromagerie but it’s worth stepping inside to admire the shelves packed full of artisan cheese. Those not up for assembling their own board should try the toasted cheese sandwich in the neighbouring wine bar.

With a chef from St. John and a multi-layered potato cake to rival The Quality Chop House, Saltine makes no secret about its inspiration. Founders Mat Appleton and Jess Blackstone are also behind north London mini coffee empire Fink’s. And while the exposed brick space is a little predictable, the genuine and charming staff maintain Saltine’s spot as a solid Highbury favourite.

London Fields Lido is a 50m Olympic size wonder of an outdoor pool within Hackney. Not only is this pool heated all year round, it is also makes for the perfect picnic spot to bring any of your little ones. 

If you go for one thing and one thing only, it has to be the magnificent sunbathing deck at this sports centre. What is more it's only a stone's throw away from Covent Garden - so grab a coffee and a bite to eat before heading for your swim. 

Part of what makes London great is its numerous parks within the city. Within lots of these parks are the iconic lidos, one of which is this gem in Parliament Hill. Open all year round this outdoor pool is also kitted out with a sauna, making those winter swims all the more bearable. 

Whilst we can't promise it's going to be your most luxurious swim, we can assure you it'll be invigorating. Set in the heart of Hackney pop by West Reservoir for your cold water swim, or for a spot of kayaking. 

Italo is one of our favourite spots in the city: pop in for a sandwich for a quick but delicious lunch, have a lazy brunch at the weekend or, if you're lucky grab a seat at one of their supper clubs. Though dining at their kitchen is a must, swing by the deli for some of the finest charcuterie and cheeses. 

A true British gem. It's charming, it's cute, and it serves a damn good full English. Sausage, beans, tomatoes, and a perfectly fried egg piled on top of a classic white slice: Mario's is one of the last old school, independent caffs left in North London. When the tiramisu arctic roll is on the menu, it's a must. 

BYOB and settle down for a delicious Lebanese feast. Share some mezze, and try a bit of everything for the flavours at Beirut Garden are always spot on. 

Set within a grade II listed building, Curzon is a cinema come historic site dating back from 1963. We can imagine no better place to watch our art-house favourites.
