We love this charming little corner restaurant on a lovely street in Mitte. They serve local, seasonal dishes and are especially good when it comes to offal & game.

Whether you’re in it for the artwork, the building or the sculpture garden outside, visiting the Rijksmuseum is an Amsterdam rite of passage. The Dutch national museum is dedicated to the fine arts and history and is impossible to miss from its perch at the head of the Museumplein. Since its founding 200 years ago, the Rijksmuseum has been a true cultural gem for the city.

This small yet elegant boutique hotel townhouse is hidden behind a large wooden gate, which opens onto a tree-framed courtyard garden. Led by owner Jeanette Mix, the hotel’s ethos is to preserve the homely feel of this former private residence; stroll into the working kitchen, browse the books in the library, and read a paper in the Finn Juhl-designed chairs. With interiors by Ilse Crawford, this design-driven building has creativity at its core and an intimate, home-from-home atmosphere throughout.

This gorgeous spot may be a bit old-fashioned, but it's also definitely the best spot in town to see and be seen. Dine upstairs before heading down for an evening of cocktails and boogying.

Second only to the Serpentine Pavilion knees-up, the London art world’s next big bash is preview night at the Summer Exhibition. The RA’s patchwork submission-based show has been going since 1769 and is wonderfully accessible. Yet the big focus on the exhibitions means a lot of people don’t know that Michelangelo’s Taddei Tondo (the artist’s only marble sculpture in Britain) is in the permanent collection. You’ll also find next-level jamón sandwiches at José Pizarro’s café Poster Bar.

Though a reservation may be one of the toughest to snag in town, it's worth being quick on the mark. This cosy neighbourhood spot serves some of the tasties local dishes, hands down. 

Adam/Albin is an intimate fine dining restaurant with a simple but intriguing menu. The dishes are super beautiful, so be prepared to whip out your phone to snap a pic or two.

Fotografiska is an incredible photography museum with a stunning spot overlooking the water. Its in-house restaurant is what however marks the spot. Now an acclaimed Michelin Green Star restaurant, a trip here promises the best views of the city, fabulous fine dining and wholly organic, local and sustainably-sourced ingredients.  With an on-site composting system and a basement hydroponic farm on-site, the abundance of veg takes farm-to-table dining to a new dimension.
