If you're looking for a slightly less formal experience than La Bourgogne, although still just as good, then look no further than La Table de Jean Paul. Jean Paul Bondoux has once again worked his magic - this cosy French café is a quaint, garden oasis. Whether you're after a coffee and a croissant, or in the mood for a classic steak tartare, La Table is the place to go. 

Though you may very well be in the seaside paradise of Punta del Este, Bungalow Suizo is an ode to the hearty dishes of Swiss cuisine. From the classic swiss potatoes and fondue bourguignonne, Bungalow Suizo has been rustling up a slice of Switzerland since 1960. With a stellar wine menu, settle down for an evening on the outdoor patio and soak up the sun. 

It's a low key though utterly fabulous pizza spot. With flour imported from Italy, and the dough left to mature for 36 hours, Atrevida sure do know a thing or two about pizza. So, if you're in the mood for a cheesy-tomato-doughy feast then head on over. 

Whether or not you're staying at this beautiful hotel, don't miss out on a day at one of the most luxurious beach clubs in Punta del Este. Overlooking the Maldonado River, spend the day basking in the sun, lounging by the sea, and for when you're feeling peckish enjoying a bite to eat from the bar.
