Bergdorf & Goodman is a New York institution and a must-visit for every sophisticated shopper. Come here to window show or pop in when you know exactly what you want (need?!).

We don't always feel like splurging quite, but when we do, the Aman New York is our first port of call. This gorgeous hotel is well worth the price tag if you can swing it.

Mangia is the perfect spot to pick up your picnic essentials before heading for a walk and lunch in Central Park. Serving delicious salad bowls, and a huge array of sandwiches served on sourdough, ciabatta, focaccia, or pizza Bianca Bread, grab one to go and a fresh juice. Lunch sorted!

If you love fine dining and love caviar then Caviar Russe will probably fit in your idea of heaven. This Michelin Starred place offers either a more laid-back experience in the bar or lounge, where you can pop a bottle of champagne and indulge in fun bites or, you could take a few hours to sit in the dining room and enjoy their multi-course tasting menu, obviously paired with an almost infinite caviar selection. After a mind-blowing meal, head to their magnificent boutique of gourmet goods and caviar to choose which delicacy you will be taking home.
