This relaxed neighborhood joint serves up elegant New American dishes in a crisp and neutral restaurant that allows the food to really shine. 

We're still dreaming over that triangoli: hand stuffed ravioli tossed in a lemon and pea sauce and smothered with aged-old parmigiano. This is the good stuff. Che Fico is a casual Italian where you can expect a good bowl of fresh pasta, a wood charred pizza and a healthy portion of tiramisu for pud. Perfection!

Set in a handsome 1908 corner building on Divisadero, The Mill pairs old bones with a fresh, airy design – think soaring ceilings, whitewashed walls, and communal wood tables. It was born of a collaboration between Four Barrel Coffee and Josey Baker Bread – and draws crowds for its famously thick-cut, wood-fired toasts made of a various different types of bread topped with seasonal jams, nut butters, or avocado. 

Entry to Pallas is by booking only, but it is worth a visit to this contemporary gallery curated by Elizabeth Snowden. She hosts amazing artist shows – sculptures, paintings or multimedia – in this intimate space.
