No guide to D.C. is complete without a mention of Le Diplomate. This iconic restaurant is always packed because of good reason. The Parisian vibes, delicious food, and impeccable service satisfies again and again. Our hot tip is to walk in scout for a seat at the bar, it is intimate yet exciting, and doesn't everything just taste better on a high chair?

Etto has it all. Wood-fired pizza, seasonally changing dishes, an amazing wine list, and delicious desserts. This rustic chic place is always bustling for good reason. While they don't take reservations, you can grab a drink at the bar while you wait for your table.

Another place we would rather keep to ourselves, TCB not only has the best coffee in D.C. but it also has the best vibes. Nowhere before have we felt the saying, everyone belongs here, executed so well. Grab a coffee, sit on the patio when it is warm out, or chill on the couches inside and strike up a conversation with a stranger.

Whether you are looking for the best pizza slice in DC, a glass of natural wine, or delicious homemade ice cream, Gemini is the place to be. Chat with the wonderful staff who can recommend you the perfect bottle of wine, order your food, and grab a seat outside when it is warm out. On the warmer days, don't skip the ice cream truck! We love this laid-back place for any type of occasion, date night, solo dinner, catch-up with a friend, takeout, you name it!
