There are countless reasons to why a cold water plunge, or dook, is the best way to start the day. Though you may never become accustomed to the coldness of the north sea, the tidal pools which line the Fife Coastal Path and their impeccable views make this all the more easy. The best way to prepare: with some warm layers, and a freshly brewed tea at the ready!

Put your tasting menus and fine dining aside and behold Britain's national dish, fish and chips. Though admittingly you can find such chippy's in every town or city, Anstruther Fish Bar is one of a kind. Have it the traditional way: haddock and chips, some vinegar and salt, served with a load of mushy peas and white bread (for the chip butty of course)!

One tasting menu, one serving time. The Cellar opens for only 12 guests per evening, curating an intimate dining experience. Beginning with pre-dinner drinks, before leading you on a culinary adventure: this is Scottish dining like no other. Langoustine thermidor beignet, salt aged duck, and an optional scottish cheese trolly (a must for us!) - you want to be one of those 12! 

There's nothing fancy about East Pier Smokehouse, in fact it's quite ridiculously modest in every way other than the food it serves. Somewhat scribbled on a chalkboard outside, the menu is determined by the catches of the day. And don't be surprised when your lobster, or alder-smoked prawn tempura arrives in a cardboard box. Booking is essential for when it opens for the season in April, though we highly recommend wrapping up warm and dining on the roof terrace. Thank us later!
