From hummus, to whipped manouri, to food fresh from the grill, Baba brings the flavours of the Levant to the iconic George Street. Open till late finish your feast at the bar. There you can sip on a honey & fig margarita, or chocolate amadeus before seeing where the night takes you!

Founded in 1984 by Annie and Lachie Stewart, ANTA is known for reworking traditional textiles – tartans, tweeds and herringbones – into contemporary interiors. Inside the calm flagship shop you’ll find hand-painted Highland stoneware, wool throws, flatweave carpets and furniture, all inspired by Scotland’s landscapes and made with natural materials by skilled artisans.

In the New Town, Little Capo is an Italian-ish restaurant with a big, buzzy personality. The salmon-pink exterior gives way to a compact room built around an aperitivo bar and dining counter, where Negronis, spritzes and vermouth flow freely. The menu shifts regularly – handwritten and full of shareable plates, homemade pastas and seasonal vegetables.

Though we'd tend to be in agreement that French food is best found in France, Cafe St Honoré strongly proves otherwise. It's a Parisian-bistro with a "slow food: philosophy and a daily changing menu. A causal cosy atmosphere, but we reassure you the food is mighty tasty.
