Right in the centre of Newquay, Barouche is the town’s most stylish spot for a bottle of wine and some late-night atmosphere. The interiors are dark and brooding, the lighting is just the right amount of low, and with a wine selection that has been given a serious amount of thought, it's easy to find the perfect pairing for their inventive Portuguese-inspired small plates.

From coral pasta, scallops, and dulse seaweed to Cornish bluefin tuna steak served with olives, tomatoes, and capers to a side of roasted courgette, ele cheese (from no other than another of our favourites Padstow Kitchen Garden), you can bet that the food is nothing but fabulous. A great ambience, with some stellar cocktails to go with, DuchyGrub is a small gem on this magnificent coastline.
