This petite place in the street of Neal Yards has always had the longest queue for a reason. 26 Grains is a cosy place with outdoor seating (for when it’s not pouring), ideal for breakfast or brunch. Although their lattes and pastries are extraordinary, they are outshined by their porridge. Yes, you read that right. From Pear porridge and Banana Tahini porridge to Blood Orange Porridge. All of their combinations are to die for, even if your childhood made you repulse this delicacy. If you are not in the mood for porridge, they have amazing dishes of eggs, grilled sandwiches and toasts, from sweet to savoury. We would do the queue even on the busiest day, that’s how much we like it.

If you go for one thing and one thing only, it has to be the magnificent sunbathing deck at this sports centre. What is more it's only a stone's throw away from Covent Garden - so grab a coffee and a bite to eat before heading for your swim.
