One of the newest addition to the Soho House family in London, Kettner's Townhouse is a lovely small hotel in the heart of Soho. We also love the bar for a late night drink.
The very first location of Soho House, Greek Street is the ideal spot to have a meeting or two before heading out on the town. It's also got a lovely little rooftop for drinks and snacks.
This two-storey restaurant, which spotlights Sichuan flavours, is just outside the official boundaries of London’s Chinatown. Representing a region famous for bright red broths and mouth-numbing dried-chilli concoctions, it’s somewhere for people who enjoy their rice with next-level spice. It’s also somewhere to stick to the specialities: sea bass in sizzling chilli oil or pork dan dan noodles.
Tony Conigliaro is the name to know on the London cocktail scene. And this Italian café meets drinking den on Old Compton Street – founded with coffee pro Marco Arrigo – is a winner. It’s famous for Tony’s Negronis: pre-made, aged and served chilled but without ice, in tiny coupes, plus cheese and charcuterie to snack on. Mini but magical.
There’s a strict “no phones, no music, no machines” policy at this pub, which only serves beer by the half pint. Dylan Thomas, Lucian Freud and Francis Bacon were once regulars and there’s still a touch of Bohemia to the crowd. On the first floor find a mini restaurant from Neil Borthwick (husband of London cheffing royalty Angela Hartnett), with a scribbled menu of French classics such as confit garlic and goat’s curd on sourdough and country pâté with pickles. Always lively and lots of fun.
