One of the most beloved and frequented places in Hackney is the iconic Royal Inn on the Park. Besides Victoria Park is this restaurant & bar with splendid cocktails to enjoy in their beer garden: from Bloody Mary to their fizzy spritzes, ice cold ciders and Prosecco for special toasts. If hungry, you’ve hit the jackpot as this gem also serves classics: from fish and chips and Sunday roast to juicy beef burgers and slow-roasted pork with apple sauce. The Royal Inn is the perfect spot to sip and chat after or before waltzing around the park.

The Hemingway is a gastropub famous for its Beef Wellington and Scotched Eggs. If you are craving or willing to try the UK’s flavours, certainly visit this place. However, if you are around the neighbourhood and are looking for an authentic pub experience, don’t hesitate to walk in and try some of their beers and cocktails.

86 hectares of green are located in East London’s Victoria Park. Spend the day biking along the canals and the ducks, having a summery picnic, exploring the beautiful pagoda or bringing a +1 for a Tennis match in one of their courts. Victoria Park is an exceptional place and many Londoners consider their visits weekly therapy.

This non-profit, free-to-enter gallery was founded by a group of artists in a former veneer factory and brewery warehouse near Victoria Park. And each year a new gang of contemporary creatives is given the opportunity to spend two years working on a show before exhibiting. A small space with an extraordinary reputation among those in the know.
