There is nothing better than a terrific beer, except one accompanied by top-notch food. And that's just what you'll find at Kaapse Maria.

We adore this arts institute for exhibitions, lectures and excellent presentations of research on architectural design and digital culture.

A Marseille-style kitchen brings the laissez-faire chill to Rotterdam; when the sun is shining, the Orangina's popped open at the red-block tables on the terrace and the wafts of the pan-fried pulpo drifting from the kitchen, one could almost forget where you are. Café Marseille is a deliciously delightful, constantly buzzing R'dam hangout serving up delicious plates of moules frites, gambas basked in Ricard or a 72-hour slow-cooked ribs served with a Bordelaise sauce that will set you into a carnivorous frenzy (recipes also all in the cookbook). The food is a tasty chaos of flavor, the interiors a jam-packed melody of art works, posters, wine bottled, hanging lamps, mirrors and flowers.

Off to a party, hosting a dinner party, or having a loungy weekend but still looking for that perfect fit? A trip to Wendela van Dijk is the answer. It is easy to get carried away when there are just so many good items to choose from!
