Den Haag

Though it may be a bit quieter and more relaxed than Amsterdam, Den Haag still has tons to offer. Beautiful buildings abound here, and it's also the political capital of the Netherlands. It's a stone's throw from the beach, so pop by for dinner after a day in the sun.

Lisse & Lisserbroek

Many, many people flock to Lisse & Lisserbroek every year to indulge in a little tulip mania at Keukenhof. Even if you're not on a floral pilgrimage, these sweet little villages make for a charming day trip.

Noordwijk aan Zee

When people come to the Netherlands, they probably don't think about gorgeous beaches, but we certainly have our fair share. Our absolute favourite beach, Noordwijk aan Zee, is just a short drive from Amsterdam. Pack a picnic or pop into one of the chic beach clubs for a snack and a drink as the sun goes down.

Rotterdam

Just an hour away from Amsterdam, this second city is one that should not be overlooked. Striking and angular buildings, a burgeoning contemporary art scene, and its Markthal are only a few of the reasons to hop on the train and head to Rotterdam.
