Tulips, clogs and windmills. There’s much, much more to this Northern European beauty than canals.

Amsterdam

Dare we call it the Venice of the North? Amsterdam has no shortage of charms. Think armies of bicycles for after work traffic, lovely canals and all the beer your heart desires.

Barneveld

Located in the middle of the Dutch Bible Belt, Barneveld is a lovely escape from the hustle and bustle of the bigger cities in Holland. The landscape here is verdant and beautiful, and the city itself is quaint & charming.

Den Haag

Though it may be a bit quieter and more relaxed than Amsterdam, Den Haag still has tons to offer. Beautiful buildings abound here, and it's also the political capital of the Netherlands. It's a stone's throw from the beach, so pop by for dinner after a day in the sun.

Domburg

There's a lot more to the Netherlands than Amsterdam (though we do love it, don't get us wrong). When the weather is good and the days are long in the summer, we can't resist heading out to the seaside resort of Domburg for fresh air and sea breeze.

Durgerdam

Hop on your bike and zip over to Durgerdam, a sweet village just outside of bustling Amsterdam. Though you can't expect cultural behemoths and streets lined with Michelin-starred restaurants here, Durgerdam is sure to enchant.

Haarlem

Just a short train ride away from Amsterdam is one of the sweetest little towns we know. Meander through the charming streets and check out the fantastic architecture. It's the perfect day-trip to get a feel for how the Dutchies really live.

Lisse & Lisserbroek

Many, many people flock to Lisse & Lisserbroek every year to indulge in a little tulip mania at Keukenhof. Even if you're not on a floral pilgrimage, these sweet little villages make for a charming day trip.

Maastricht

It may not be the first city you think of when you think of the Netherlands, but this southernmost Dutch city is a gem, full of surprises. A labyrinth of ancient tunnels spreads across the city, and you are never far from a gezellig bar. If you’re lucky enough to come in March, be sure to check out TEFAF, one of Europe’s premier art fairs.

Otterlo

Home to Castle Doorwerth, The Kröller-Müller Museum and the Nationaal Park De Hoge Veluwe, small but mighty Otterlo is the place to be in Gelderland. Drive in for the day or book a charming hotel for a little piece of country life.

Rotterdam

Just an hour away from Amsterdam, this second city is one that should not be overlooked. Striking and angular buildings, a burgeoning contemporary art scene, and its Markthal are only a few of the reasons to hop on the train and head to Rotterdam.

Utrecht

We can hardly think of a town with more storybook charm than Utrecht. Amsterdam's little sister is enchanting and well worth a visit, if only for a few hours.

Zandvoort & Bloemendaal aan Zee

Both Zandvoort & Bloemendaal aan Zee are about as close to trendy seaside resorts as the Netherlands gets, and we are here for it. These lovely beachside villages are most charming in summer yet miraculously beautiful in the chillier months too.
