Inspired by the seasons, Milan Gataric creates masterpieces in this Rotterdam-based restaurant. Established for more than 25 years, you know that this place is going to be good. With a possible set menu and complementing wine pairing, this restaurant has it all.

With the industrial exterior it's easy just to cycle past this spot - that is when there's not a queue lined up outside. But once inside, though a vast space, it's unbelievably cosy. Perhaps it's the eclectic mix of furniture, chalk boards, and paintings on the wall, or the smell of their own freshly roasted coffee.

On a lot of the postcards you see of Rotterdam is this mirrored dome, also known as the Depot of the Museum Boijmans van Beuningen. It's easy to understand why the building has became an architectural icon, but even more so when you go inside. It's a remarkable feast for your eyes.

We adore this arts institute for exhibitions, lectures and excellent presentations of research on architectural design and digital culture.
